BAE Systems announcing major expansion in Endicott

ENDICOTT, NY – (WIVT/WBGH) BAE is planning a major expansion in Endicott as it invests more in electric aviation technology. BAE is planning a $65 million expansion on the Huron Campus to accommodate a new battery production line, lab space, and new office space. According to Empire State Development, the aerospace technology firm has committed to adding 134 new jobs while occupying an additional 150,000 square feet of existing space on the Huron Campus. Advancing Environmental Reviews

The environmental review process for Broome Technology Park continues to move forward. As part of this work, The Agency recently utilized drone technology to gather detailed topographical data and assess what impacts the development would have on viewsheds in the surrounding area. Looking ahead, additional studies are scheduled for 2025 as part of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) process. The Broome County Industrial Development Agency today announced that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has designated the IDA as the Lead Agency for a New York State Environmental Quality Review (SEQRA) environmental impact assessment of the proposed Broome Technology Park spanning the towns of Maine and Union.
